State Chief Information Commissioner, G R Sufi today called on Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra at Raj Bhavan here and discussed issues related to RTI Act.
Sufi informed the governor about the initiatives taken by the Commission for the implementation of the 'Right To Information Act 2009' in Jammu and Kashmir and the efforts being made to generate awareness among the masses regarding their right to seek relevant information from all public offices, Raj Bhavan spokesman said.
Governor discussed with Sufi the impact, so far, of the RTI route on eradication of corruption, he added.
