The CID arrested three persons and seized ammunition from them during a raid into a guest house in the Kidderpore area of the city, the police said.
Acting on a tip-off, the CID raided the guest house late last night and arrested arms trafficking kingpin Jamirul Hassan, alias Hossain, and his associates Mohammed Shabbir and Chand Alam.
A senior CID officer said that 69 rounds of 7.65 mm ammunition was seized from the three arrested.

All three accused were residents of Bihar's Munger district and had been under a watch for a long time, the officer said adding that Jamirul, also known as Vikky, was into arms trafficking for a long time, he said.
"The persons have been involved into arms trafficking for a long time. They were bringing in arms in Kolkata from Munger where they have a manufacturing unit. And taking it to the state like Canning, Basirhat," the officer said.
All three, booked under section 25 (I)(a) of the Arms Act, were remanded to 10 days' police custody after being produced in a city court, he said.
