Apex industry body CII today said it is keen to work with universities to create a skilled workforce which easily finds jobs.
"CII is keen to work with various universities to create a skilled and employable workforce in the country," Ashwin Gandhi, Chairman (CII Central Gujarat), said.
Gandhi, who is also Director, Express Group of Hotels, was speaking at a conference on engineering and construction organised by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) here.

He suggested a deeper industry-academia interface.
"Universities must ask students of engineering to go and work for two months in industries. Such students should get extra marks in final year of their course. This way there will be better connect between industry and academia," Gandhi said.
Speaking at the event, Masayuki Kubo of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries India Pvt Ltd said India has evolved in the last one year and its growth has not been restricted to a handful of sectors.
Quoting a Goldman Sachs report, Kubo said "Indian economy is projected to grow at 8 per cent from 2016 to 2020.
