CII organises 'Women Leadership Conclave' in Kochi

The aspiration level of the country's women has gone up in leaps and bounds and they have begun demanding their due share in the economic space, experts said today.

The Indian women has finally arrived at the global business space braving all odds, speakers from different backgrounds said at 'Women Leadership Conclave' organised by industry body CII here.

'It is no longer a man's world' was the major theme of the meet.

Around 300 delegates from across the country and from different walks of life attended the meet which was inaugurated by Dr Anuradha Balaram, Member Secretary, State Planning Board.
 

"Ride your passion, Do not give up. Every challenge will teach you", said Shikha Sharma, Managing Director, Nutri-Health Systems Pvt Ltd.

While Chitra Krishnan, Managing Director of CK's Treat, narrated how despite a failed marriage, she picked up courage to start a catering enterprise of her own in Kochi to bring up her three children and is now employing women workers from the neighbourhood, Anusha Ravi, Chief Executive Officer Park Group of Institutions, said her mantra is never to give up innovating.

Among the other speakers were Remy Thomas Muthoot, Chairwomen, Indian Women Network (IWN) Kerala and Chief Executive Officer, Muthoot Pappachan Group, automotive division, Shyam Srinivasan, Chairman, CII State Council and Managing Director & CEO, The Federal Bank Ltd, Shereenn Navas, Vice Chairman, IWN Kerala and Director Eastern Group.
