The Vigilance Investigation Bureau (VIB) today arrested a circle officer on graft charge from Dulhin Bazar area in Bihar's Patna district.
Acting on a complaint by Anil Kumar Singh, a VIB team headed by the deputy superintendent of police Munna Prasad nabbed Manoj Kumar, circle inspector of Block-cum-Circle office in Dulhin Bazar area as soon as he took Rs 19,000 as graft from the complainant at his private office, an official release said.
He had earlier taken Rs 1000 as token money from the complainant, it said.

Kumar had demanded a bribe of Rs 20,000 for submission of inspection report of a land allotted to Kumar by Bihar Bhudaan Yagna Samiti, the release added.
The tainted circle inspector will be produced before a designated Vigilance Court for judicial remand following interrogation about case lodged against him.
The Vigilance department has laid 45 traps and arrested 47 public servants on graft charge so far this year.
