An eight-year-old girl has died after she was attacked by a circus tiger when she slipped and fell into the enclosed animal training arena in southwest China.
The teenager was attacked by the tiger when she slipped into an enclosed animal training site of Leheledu Amusement Park in Chongqing Municipality while visiting the site with her relatives last night.
The girl later died in the hospital due to serious injuries, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.
A spokesman from the park vowed to beef up security measures at the site and said they have reached initial agreement on settling the issue with the victim's family.
