The CISF today apprehended a Bangladeshi man at the airport here with an Aadhaar card that was allegedly "fraudulently obtained" by him from the border state of Mizoram, officials said.

They said S Hossain was held at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose international airport at about 11.30 AM after he landed here from Delhi and was on his way to catch a flight to Agartala.

The passenger, who was intercepted on suspicion, revealed that he travelled to Kolkata using an Aadhaar card in the name of Shuaib Ahmed which was "fraudulently" obtained by him from Mizoram, a CISF spokesperson said.

"He also revealed that he was holding a Bangladeshi passport in the name of Md Shuyaeb Hossain which was concealed by him in his registered baggage," he said.

The Indian visa stamped on his passport had expired on April 11 this year, he added.

The man has been handed over to the local police for further probe, the spokesperson added.
