CISF personnel have restored bags containing over Rs 2 lakh of commuters in two separate cases in the Delhi Metro.
Officials said the incidents happened over the weekend with the first taking place at the Chandni Chowk station on March 26 when security personnel noticed an unattended bag at the x-ray baggage scanner at the station.
After conducting anti-sabotage checks, a senior official said the securitymen recovered a cash amount of Rs 1,10,000 and a mobile phone from the bag and it was kept in safe custody.
A person from Uttar Pradesh's Pratapgarh later claimed it and he was returned the belongings by Metro authorities after checking his bonafide details, the official said.
A similar incident took place later at Kashmere Gate station where a bag containing Rs 1,15,000 was found.
The official said the bag was restored to its owner as it was picked up by another commuter travelling in the Metro.
On the same day, Central Industrial Security Force personnel helped in reuniting a 67-year-old woman from Uttarakhand with his son from whom she got separated after boarding the rapid rail network at Saket on last Saturday.
