CISF squad saves women from committing suicide near Metro

CISF personnel today saved a young women from committing suicide after she allegedly got upset with her boyfriend near the Sarita Vihar Metro station here.

Officials said the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) observer manning the CCTV control room of the Metro station saw a boy and a girl having "conflict" with each other on the foot-over bridge near the station after which the boy left the place.

The girl, in an upset mood, later went to the side railing of the bridge with an intention to jump on the road.

The CISF personnel manning the CCTV immediately alerted a quick reaction team official who stopped the lady from taking the extreme step.
 

The young lady was counselled and later handed over to local police, they said.
