Unidentified persons torched the office of CITU Motor Transport Workers union in nearby Tirupur, damaging three motorcycles, among other things, police said today.
The fire in the office was noticed around midnight yesterday and some workers managed to extinguish it.
Police suspect the incident could be the handiwork of a few persons, who have started a rival union.
