: Dr V G Mohan Prasad, a leading gastroenterologist in the region, has been conferred with "The Star of India" award for his yeomen service in the field of education and health.
The award, carrying a citation, was presented to Prasad by former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda in Bengaluru during the 14th Anniversady of Pan India Foundation on March 14, a release said today.
The foundation honours individuals who have contributed to literacy and health awareness
Mohan Prasad is the chairman of VGM Hospital and also some educational Institutions in Pollachi and Udumalpet.
