The match is already sold out, leaving thousands of cricket enthusiasts heartbroken. Keeping in mind the marquee IPL clash with Kolkata's favourite local boy Sourav Ganguly leading the Warriors, CAB has planned to install giant screens at hotspots like Gariahat, Sealdah, College Street, Kankurgachi, Salt Lake and even in the neighbouring Howrah district.

However, Joint Commissioner of Police (HQ) Jawed Shamim today told PTI that they have not received any proposal from the CAB as yet.

"The CAB has not given us any proposal regarding that. If they come up with a proposal with technical feasibility, then we can discuss the issue," said Shamim.

He, meanwhile, pointed out a glitch in CAB's plan.

"The match will start at 4pm. I doubt whether it would be visible in the daylight glare," he said. PTI AKB TAP AMD SHN SHN
