Bhilwara Municipal Council has decided to stop supply of drainage water to a mining company here for its use, after the company failed to fulfil its commitment to maintain gardens and repair sewerage lines.

It was an arrangement between the local body and Jindal Shaw under which the company had to maintain gardens and repair drain in lieu of supply of dirty water for its use, but the company did not comply with the conditions following which the decision was taken in a general body meeting yesterday, municipal council commissioner Rustam Ali said.

Ali said the supply of sewage water to the treatment plant of the company has been stopped with immediate effect.

A company official, when contacted, said that the company has not received any notice about the suspension of supply yet.
