Chief Justice of India P Sathasivam today offered prayers at the famous hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala near here.
On arrival at the temple, Justice Sathasivam, accompanied by his wife Saraswathi, was accorded a traditional reception and the priests amid chanting of vedic hymns conducted the couple to the sanctum sanctorum of the shrine this morning.
Earlier, Justice Sathasivan, on his first visit to the hill shrine after being sworn in CJI on July 19, arrived at Tirumala last night, temple sources told PTI.
He was also accompanied by Andhra Pradesh High Court Chief Justice K J Sengupta.
