Clariant Chem up over 4% as board declares interim dividend

Shares of Clariant Chemicals (India) surged over 4 per cent today after the company announced an interim dividend of Rs 140 per share.

Clariant Chemicals' scrip rose by 4.23 per cent to settle at Rs 1,128.60 on the BSE. During the day, it gained 6.11 per cent to Rs 1,149.

At the NSE, it rose 3.21 per cent to close at Rs 1,119.

In a filing to the BSE yesterday, Clariant Chemicals had said the Board of Directors of the company considered and declared interim dividend of Rs 140 per share to the shareholders for financial year 2015, out of the profits and surplus carried forward from the financial year 2014.
 

The final dividend for the financial year 2014, if any, will be recommended by the Board after the audited accounts for the financial year 2014 is considered and approved, it had said.

Further, the Board has approved January 20, 2015 as record date for the purpose of payment of interim dividend and such dividend will be paid on or after January 21.
