Australia's injury-prone captain Michael Clarke is likely to make his comeback in a Cricket World Cup warm-up match against the UAE on Wednesday, raising hopes of him leading the side in the tournament opener against England on Saturday.
"Michael, if he gets through training tomorrow hopefully, he will play the trial game on Wednesday so that is a pleasing thing for us. He is training the house down on the training track so now it's a case of getting him up to speed with the fielding and away he goes from there," Australia coach Darren Lehmann was quoted as saying the the Sydney Morning Herald.
Clarke has been out of action since the first Test against India in December.

"He is going OK (but) he won't play the first game," he said.
"Everyone has them - injuries - you just have to deal with it, we have some good depth and some good players that miss out so that is a good sign. At the moment they are ticking along nicely," added Lehmann.
