Two persons, including a woman, were killed, and as many injured in a clash over one-year-old rape case at Sikandarpur village under Surir police station here today.
The trouble started when Mohan Singh, the father of a 6-year-old rape victim, was allegedly assaulted by accomplice of the accused while he was going to field. The attackers reportedly wanted him to withdraw the one-year-old rape case, police said.
Later, Singh returned home and brought the matter to the notice of his family members.

Following which an altercation broke out between Singh's family and the kins of the Pappi, the main accused in the rape case.
It later, snowballed into a violent clash as both sides resorted to firing.
The scuffle led to death of 25-year-old Ravi, the brother of Singh and 75-year-old Sondevi, the grand mother of the rape accused, police said.
"Those who have taken law in their hand would be booked under Gunda act," DIG Laxmi Singh said, adding the matter is being investigated.
Police and PAC have been posted in the village to keep the situation under control, the DIG said.
Pappi, the main accused in rape case, is lodged in jail, while three of his accomplices are out on bail.
The DIG said that police would ensure that their bail bond is cancelled.
