Clash breaks out over student union election results

Following the results of the student union elections, supporters of Hari Gujjar, who lost the presidential seat to Ramveer Meena in Karauli Government college started pelting stones on the other groups last evening, police said today.

They damaged state roadways buses and clashed with the supporters of the winner candidate, the police said.

A police force reached the spot and dispersed the students but by then, they had gutted two motorcycles and damaged buses, police said, adding 17 persons have been arrested in this connection.

In the elections, ABVP won president posts in five universities, Independents three and SFI in one university while NSUI could not won president post in any university.
