A class 10 student was allegedly raped by a boy who she befriended on Facebook at Sihanigate area here, following which the accused was arrested, police said today.
The accused, a resident of Govindpuram and son of a policeman deployed at Sihanigate area, befriended the girl on the social networking site some years ago, police said.
The boy took the girl to his home and raped her after intoxicating her, police said, adding, he also made a MMS of the student, they said.
The accused then raped her several times and also blackmailed her on the basis of the MMS, they said, adding, the girl narrated her ordeal to her family after which a case was loged in this connection on Wednesday and the accused arrested.
