A class V student today died in Jalgaon district of north Maharashtra, apparently after a ruckus involving other students in school premises, police said.
11-year-old Kishore Raghu Chavan, student of the Jawahar Navoday Vidyalay at Girad, was rushed to the rural hospital at Pachora but passed away later, a police officer from Bhadgaon police station told PTI over phone.
Asked what led to the student being rushed to the hospital, the official said the boy was involved in 'danga masti' (ruckus) with other students. He did not elaborate when asked if he was assaulted by other kids.
