A class XII student, who was apparently suffering from depression, allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself, police said today.
Vivek (17) was found hanging from the ceiling of his room last night at Swaraj Nagar area in suburb Panki here, a police spokesperson said.
Vivek's parents told the police that he was suffering from depression and was undergoing treatment at a medical college here. He was discharged from the hospital last week, he said.
Police is yet to find out the cause for his mental illness, the spokesperson said, adding, investigations are on.
