Classes resumed at the prestigious Ravenshaw University, which was rocked by student unrest earlier this month, as normalcy returned to the campus today.
The University was closed for indefinite period on October 14, two days before the puja vacations, when the campus witnessed violence soon after the Students' Union election results were announced.
"The police would continue to remain inside the campus for few more days and the increased number of university security guards have been asked to remain vigilant," University vice chancellor P C Sarangi said today.
He further added that the oath-taking ceremony of newly elected office-bearers of the Students' Union would be held at an appropriate day to be fixed by the Academic Council after assessing the situation.
