The Haryana government has prepared a plan to provide clean drinking water to cattle, and for developing ponds in every village of the state.
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today met Union Rural Development minister Birender Singh to whom he apprised that a plan has been made for providing clean drinking water to the cattle and for the construction of gaughats.
In every village 3 to 5 ponds would also be developed.
"The Chief Minister said that there is a plan to save ponds in villages. He said that drinking water facility has been expended in the villages but no arrangements have been made for the management of liquid waste which is a major issue today," an official statement released here said.
The CM has demanded budget from the Union Minister for drain construction, water treatment plants and recycling of water in the villages, it added.
"He said that a plan has been made to provide clean drinking water to the cattle and for the construction of gaughats. In every village 3 to 5 ponds would be developed.
The Union Minister said that an amount of over Rs 42 crore has been recently released to provide drinking water in the state, the statement further said.
