Clear day ahead, mercury gradually rising

Mercury climbed a few notches in the national capital today with the minimum temperature settling at 11 degrees Celsius, even as fog resulted in cancellation of 45 trains.

"The minimum temperature at 8.30 AM was 11 degrees Celsius, three notches above normal. The humidity was 97 per cent," a MeT official said.

Visibility at 8.30 AM was recorded at 300 metres. Foggy conditions resulted in delay of 15 Delhi-bound trains and cancellation of 45 trains while flight operations were reported to be normal.

The weatherman has predicted a clear day ahead with possibility of mercury settling around 23 degrees Celsius.
 

Yesterday, the maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at 23.6 degrees Celsius and 9 degrees Celsius, respectively.
