A dense blanket of early morning fog today brought down visblity in the national capital leading to cancellation of 11 trains, but gave way to clearer skies as the day progressed.
According to a MeT Department official, visibility was recorded at 100 meters at 8.30 AM which improved to 600 meters at 11.30 AM. It was recorded at 1200 meters at 2.30 PM.
At Palam, the visibility was recorded at 350 meters at 8.30 AM.

"As many as 100 trains are running late by several hours while 11 trains were cancelled. Also, 41 trains were rescheduled due to dense fog," the railway official said.
Flight operations at the Delhi Airport remained normal.
The maximum temperature settled at 23.9 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature was recorded at 8.7 degrees, normal for this time of the year, the Met official said.
The humidity oscillated between 97 and 51 per cent.
The weatherman has predicted mainly clear skies for tomorrow with the maximum and minimum temperature expected to settle at 24 and 9 degrees Celsius.
"The skies will be mainly clear. Dense to very dense fog is likely to occur towards morning," the weather man said.
Yesterday, the minimum and maximum temperatures were recorded at 11.2 degrees Celsius and 24.3 degrees Celsius respectively.
