A city-based cleric has taken exception after his photograph was used without his consent on a banner put up by a Muslim organisation in Lucknow supporting construction of Ram temple at Ayodhya.

Maulana Dr Shabih Ahsan Kazmi said his photograph was used without his permission.

"I came to know about the banner through social media and news channels. Before putting up this poster, no one had approached me and sought my permission.

"In fact, I do not even know the people who put up the banner in Lucknow, expressing support for construction of Ram temple at Ayodhya," he said here.

He was highly perturbed and upset due to this mischief as a lot of people were calling him, he said.

"The issue of Mandir-Masjid is very sensitive and since it is pending before the court, whatever decision court gives, that will be accepted by all," said Kazmi.

He had approached the Pune police and filed a complaint in this regard, he said.
