Vigilance Investigation Bureau today caught a head clerk with Katihar district fisheries department red handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 10,500 here, vigilance sources said.
The head clerk had demanded the bribe from a beneficiary for releasing funds available under a scheme of fisheries department.
The beneficiary lodged a complaint with the vigilance department and the clerk was arrested from the office of district fisheries department in Katihar town, the sources said.
