A clerk in the office of the divisional commissioner here has been arrested for allegedly dealing in drugs, police said today.
"One Bhishm was arrested last night with drugs in his possession. He is a clerk in the divisional commissioner's office," said Inspector Barjinder Singh.
He added that the accused has been produced in court and remanded in 14 days' judicial custody.
Singh said police had seized 500-gm of an intoxicating powder along with 1,344 suspicious capsules from the accused's possession.
A case has been registered against the accused under the narcotics Act, Singh added.
