Hillary Clinton, the former First Lady and the US Secretary of State, today said that a decision on her potential 2016 presidential run would be taken "when it feels right for me to decide".

Clinton, 66, is widely being speculated to be the Democratic Party presidential candidate for the 2016 elections.

She has never denied the rumor that she would not run for 2016 elections.

"I'm going to decide when it feels right for me to decide because I just want to kind of get through this year, travel around the country, sign books, help in the midterm elections in the fall and then take a deep breath and kind of go through my pluses and minuses about what I will and will not be thinking about as I make the decision," Clinton told the ABC.

"I will be on the way to making a decision by the end of the year," said Clinton, whose book 'Hard Choices' hits the book stores on June 10.

"I have to make the decision that's right for me and the country," she added.

Clinton said her party colleagues and other presidential candidates are free to take a decision on their 2016 presidential run.

"People can do whatever they choose to do on whatever timetable they decide," she said.

"Bill Clinton started running for president officially in, like, September or October of 1991. I just don't think that that's a real concern. People will do what they think is best for them, and whether they choose to seek the presidency or not is very personal for everybody," Clinton said.
