Hillary Rodham Clinton is calling on the United Nations to come up with a more robust strategy to combat the growing use of kidnappings of girls and women as a war tactic across the Middle East.
The former secretary of state and potential 2016 presidential contender was asked at a conference yesterday in New York about the threat posed to women by terrorist groups.
She says the tactics used by groups like Boko Haram and the Islamic State militants occupying parts of Iraq and Syria worry her greatly.
Clinton says the United Nations should come up with a unified strategy and immediately deploy resources to prevent kidnappings and try to track down the perpetrators.
