Close vigil maintained to ascertain quality of milk

Welfare and Cooperation Minister M Kandasamy today said the government would ensure that the milk available to the consumers was of good quality and free from adulteration.

Replying to the complaint by the opposition AIADMK (Amma) MLA A Anbalagan during zero hour in the Assembly that adulterated milk was available in Puducherry, the minister said that close vigil is being maintained to ensure that the milk sold in Puducherry was of good quality.

Kandasamy said that if any one found to be indulging in adulteration of milk, the government would not hesitate to take action.

Chief Minister V Narayanasamy also told Kandasamy that the government would pay special attention to ensure that the milk is free from adulteration.
