Clouds hovered over several Jharkhand districts today keeping the temperature below 40 degree Celsius in most parts of the state.
However, Chaibasa recorded a maximum temperature of 41.2 degree Celsius, Garhwa 41 degree Celsius and Lohardaga 40 degree Celsius, met office sources said.
Temperature in Ranchi was 38 degrees, Jamshedpur 39.6 degrees, Palamau 39 degrees, Gumla 37 degrees, Khunti 35 degrees, Dhanbad 37 degrees, Latehar, Hazaribagh and Simdega 38 degrees and Dumka (37.5), the sources said.
The forecast for the next 24 hours said Ranchi is likely to remain partly clouded, while there is likely to be rain or thundershowers in isolated places, the sources added.
