A cloud cover today took over the national capital, making the weather pleasant and bringing the mercury down to 32.8 degree Celsius, but high humidity continued to play spoilsport.
The day temperature took a sharp plunge settling at 32.8 deg C, 8.8 points below yesterday's 41.6 deg C and six notches below normal.
People flocked to India Gate, Connaught Place and other public places in hoards to make most of the pleasant weather.

Minimum temperature was registered at 29.2 deg C, which was one degree above normal and slightly down from previous day's 29.6 deg C.
The maximum and minimum humidity were recorded at 52 per cent and 73 per cent respectively.
The weatherman has predicted a partly cloudy sky tomorrow with possibility of rain, while the maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be around 35 deg C and 28 deg C, respectively.
