Cloudy skies in Delhi, light rains in some parts

Overcast conditions prevailed in the national capital today with some parts of the city receiving light scattered rains.

The maximum temperature was recorded at 27.8 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average while the minimum temperature settled at 20 degrees Celsius, nine notches above normal, said a Met department official.

The humidity in air oscillated between 94 and 62 per cent.

Rains measuring 0.4 mm and 0.5 mm rains were recorded at Safdarjung and Lodhi Road observatories till 8.30 AM. After that 0.2 mm rainfall was recorded at Safdarjung, Lodhi road received traces of rainfall.

The Met office has predicted mainly clear skies for tomorrow.
 

"The skies will be mainly clear. Shallow to moderate fog may occur at some places. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover at 27 and 16 degrees Celsius respectively," the weatherman said.

Yesterday, maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at 29.8 and 15.6 degrees Celsius respectively.
