Cloudy skies may give way to thundershowers in city

An overcast morning sky greeted residents of the national capital today with the weatherman predicting light rains and thundershowers across the city.

The minimum temperature settled two notches below the season's average at 25 degrees Celsius with the maximum is expected to hover around 31.3 degrees Celsius, three notches below normal.

Humidity continued to be high at 79 per cent at 8.30 AM.

"The skies will be generally cloudy. Light rains and thundershowers may occur in different parts of the city through the day," a weather official said.

Yesterday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 31.3 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature had settled at 25.2 with the city receiving scattered rainfall.
