CLU to be granted for DAV women university in Haryana: Govt

The Haryana government today said it has decided to grant Change of Land Use (CLU) permission for setting up of a DAV women university in Yamunanagar district of the state.

The CLU has been granted in the revenue estate villages of Panjeto, Mukarampur, Chaneta and Mundakhera in tehsil Chhachhrauli of Yamunanagar district, an official spokesman said.

The university would come up over an area of 56.79 acres at an estimated cost of Rs 193.04 crore.

The spokesman said Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has approved a proposal in this regard.

To be located in the vicinity of the twin cities of Yamunanagar and Jagadhari, the university would primarily cater to the needs of about five lakh people, he said.
