Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) has sealed the club house of a residential complex built here by well-known realty firm Lodha Group to recover tax dues of Rs 10 lakh, civic sources said today.

The civic body sealed the club house of "Lodha Paradise", which consists of 14 buildings, yesterday. The dues had been pending since the last nine years, they said.

The corporation had earlier served a recovery notice to the complex in the name of Mangal Prabhat Lodha, who is the chief of the Mumbai-based Group.

The civic body has warned if the dues were not paid within a week, the premises would be auctioned.

There is a dispute between the occupants of the apartments and the real estate firm over certain issues as a result of which the club house is still with the builder.

The residents claimed the club house was devoid of any facilities and it remained largely unused.

Lodha Group officials were not availble for comment on the issue.
