CM announces Rs 10 lakh assistance for Army jawan's family

Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today condoled the death of Army jawan Jay Prakash Oraon, who died fighting gallantly with extremists in Manipur.

Oraon, who hailed from Chanhos Ganeshpur Nawadi in Ranchi, sacrificed his life keeping the national interest supreme, an official release said quoting the chief minister.

The chief minister also announced Rs 10 to the jawan's family as assistance.

Das saluted the valour of Jay Prakash Oraon and said the people of the state are with his family at this hour.

An Army jawan and two militants were killed in an encounter in Manipur's Chandel district yesterday.
