Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren today instructed the Hazaribagh deputy commissioner to find out whether land adjoining BSF's Silwar and Sitagara firing ranges could be transferred to the paramilitary force.
Soren gave this instruction to Hazaribagh deputy commissioner Sunil Kumar after BSF IG P C Sharma pointed out that several villagers had lost their lives after being hit by stray bullets for allegedly violating BSF warning during the firing practices.
The Chief Minister was attending the 'Passing Out Parade' at the BSF Training Centre and School at Meru, about 10 km from here.
