Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K Palaniswami today condoled the death of veteran water expert and former chairman of Cauvery Technical Cell, A Mohanakrishnan.
"I was grieved to learn about the demise of your beloved father A Mohanakrishnan yesterday," he said in his letter to A Muralidharan, son of Mohanakrishnan.
Recalling that Mohanakrishnan joined the Public Works Department in 1948 and retired in 1984, Palaniswami said when the Cauvery Water Disputes Tribunal was constituted in 1990, he served as the Chairman of the Cauvery Technical Cell associating with all Inter-State issues and major irrigation schemes.

"Although no words of solace would really be adequate in such circumstances, I wish to share your grief by conveying my deepest condolences to you and to all the other members of your family," the Chief Minister said.
