CM directs officials to begin classes at Rey college

Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today directed the authorities to begin the classes at Rey college in coming academic session in a suitable accommodation and simultaneously take up the construction of the college building.

Addressing a public meeting at Jakhbad in Fatehpur constituency of Kangra district today he said it the governments endeavour to provide quality education to the children and was developing infrastructure to meet the requirements.

There were as many as 94 degree colleges in the State, Singh said, but in last three years of his regime, 994 schools and 25 degree colleges had been opened.

Thereby increasing the total strength to 15,534 in the government sector in the state and as many as 21 Industrial Training Institute had been opened to provide vocational education to the youth.
 

He said that Indian Institute of Management was coming up at Dhaula Kuan in Sirmaur and an IIIT had been set up at Kamand in Mandi.

"Since 1962,I have traversed a long political journey and have seen the true picture of the State and today when I look back, I see that the State has progressed leaps and bounds and a massive revolution has taken place in terms of development," he said.
