Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today ordered a stay on the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's recruitment process for Class IV posts after complaints that the examination paper was tough, said BJP MLC Bhai Girkar.

"I had given two sets of the question paper to the Chief Minister. He started laughing when he read the questions and said even he would not be able to answer some of them," Girkar told reporters here.

"He later remarked that this process of recruitment should be stopped and he sent the letter to the BMC commissioner," Girkar said.

Examinations were being conducted for posts for sweepers, ward boys and crematorium assistants.

Aspirants were asked to answer questions like which was the biggest constellation, who was the 44th Chief Justice of India, which acid is found in vinegar, what is gynoecium and the like.
