CM holds talks on progress of Bio Medical Research centre

Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy today held discussions with higher officials on the progress of the Inter-University Centre for Bio-Medical Research Centre and Super Speciality Hospital at Thalappady, being set up under the aegis of Mahatma Gandhi University.

The Centre, built at a cost of Rs 9.5 crore, is slated for inauguration on June 28, a press release said.

The progress of hospital component, posting of staff, various facilities to be incorporated, were discussed.

Chandy directed officials to hold a meeting of the Panchayat Presidents in the nine nearby areas, sponsoring committees, political parties besides all officials concerned on June 23 afternoon in the School of Medical Education at Thalappady.
 

Vice Chancellor, Dr Babu Sebastian, Registrar and Director of the IUCBMR&SSH, M R Unni, and syndicate members were among those who participated.
