CM lays foundation stones of various projects in Himachal

On the first day of his visit to Kangra, Himachal Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today laid foundation stones of various development projects in Bir village, officials said here.

Thakur laid the foundation stones of an additional accommodation for the Government Senior Secondary School, Bir, which would be constructed at a cost of Rs 1.25 crore, for the expansion of the Devi Bhawan complex, and construction of the Mahakaal Temple 'ghat' at Baijnath, which would cost Rs 52.29 lakh, they said.

Later, the chief minister laid the foundation stone for further works on the Lift Water Supply Scheme (LWSS) for a group of villages, including Chakol, Behru and Rakkar Majherna in Baijnath, which would cost Rs 1.37 crore, they added.
 

He also performed the foundation stone laying ceremony for improvement of the Water Supply Scheme for Jhikli Beth and Kokiana in Baijnath tehsil which would cost Rs 90.02 lakh, officials said.
