CM leads UT in paying tributes to Nehru

Chief Minister N Rangasamy led the union territory in paying tributes to former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru on his 125th birth anniversary today.

The CM garlanded a statue of Nehru here.

The Speaker V Sabapathy, Ministers, legislators and officials were among those who paid tributes to Nehru.

The ruling AINRC also held a function on the premises of the party office here on the occasion.

Rangasamy and his cabinet colleagues and functionaries of the ruling AINRC were among those present.

The opposition Congress celebrated the birth anniverary of Nehru at the party office. PCC leader A V Subramanian was among those who recalled the services of Nehru rendered for the development of the nation.
