: Chief Minister V Narayanasamy left here for Delhi to participate in the two day first meeting of the Goods and Services Tax Council,beginning today.
Official sources said Narayanasamy had been invited to participate in the deliberations.
Since he holds the Finance portfolio, he would place before the meeting the rights of Puducherry and seek compensation for any loss the union territory would suffer in the event of implementation of the GST here.

The Puducherry Assembly had ratified the GST Bill through a resolution tabled by the Chief Minister on September 2.
