CM orders probe into murder of forest officials in Tirupati

Expressing shock over the death of two forest personnel in an attack on them by red sanders smugglers in the Tirupati forest, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy today directed officials to conduct an inquiry into the incident.

Condoling the death of the two personnel, he directed the officials to provide best medical treatment to those injured in the incident, an official release said.

The Chief Minister directed the principal conservator of forests to rush to the spot and submit a report after inquiring into the incident, it said.

He also asked the officials to take stringent action against the offenders.
 

Two forest department personnel were killed and some others sustained injuries when they were attacked by red sanders smuggling gangs in the Seshachalam forest at Tirupati today.
