CM promises Rs 300 cr for Warangal town in Telangana budget

The Telangana government would provide Rs 300 crore annually in the state budget for the development of Warangal, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said here today.

Rao, who had a review of development of Warangal during a visit to the town, said the Centre had chosen Warangal for implementation of its smart city and 'AMRUT' schemes.

Warangal has already got a health university and it would soon have a textile park, he said.

The state government would build Outer Ring Road for the city and promote tourism at the Warangal Fort and the tanks built by the Kakatiya rulers, he said.
 

He also laid emphasis on several civic issues including construction of double-bed room houses for poor, bus bays, burial grounds and sanitation in the city.
