Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today sought clarification from Pilibhit District Magistrate and four district police chiefs for their alleged laxity in redressing complaints.
"The CM has sought clarification from DM, Pilibhit, and police chiefs of Faizabad, Kasganj, Deoria and Basti for showing laxity towards redressing peoples' complaint," an official release said here.
Yadav was reviewing the progress in redressal of grievances received through the integrated grievance redressal system launched early this year at his official residence here.
The system was launched on January 25.
Since its launch, over 2 lakh grievances have been received from the people and of them 70 per cent were redressed, the release said.
The CM has directed that remaining complaints be attended to soon.
