Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat today inaugurated an indoor firing range at Police Lines here and announced Rs one crore for shooting training.
He also flagged off the High Altitude Search and Rescue Operation, which is the first such initiative in the country, and said that the team will help the state during natural calamities.
Rawat announced to remove the Rs 4,500 upper limit on the allowance for the encouragement of State Disaster Management Response Force officials.
The chief minister also honoured the police personnel who won medals at World Police and Fire Games 2015 held at Fairfax in Virginia, USA.
